Region 13 Engineers Week Challenge

Engineer Week Challenge

Celebrate the 2024 Engineers Week by joining our fun Engineers Week Challenge and do some engineering design with your students! Preview some of the engineering practices embedded in the upcoming Science TEKS. Engineers Week is February 18-24, 2024.

The winner of the Engineers Week Challenge will receive a free registration to the 2024 Region 13 STEM Ecosystem Convening on April 5 and 6, 2024. All participants who submit a video will receive a 20% discount on the price of registration.

This year’s focus is on the new K-12 Science TEKS and K-8 Technology Applications TEKS coming in the 2024-2025 school year.

Between 2020-2030, Texas will add over 620,000 STEM occupations; the time to make Texas a “State of STEM,” is now! Many of these new occupations require no more than a Bachelor’s degree and 11 pay more than $100,000 per year. At the 2024 STEM Ecosystem Convening, stakeholders from across Region 13 have the opportunity to network, learn, and get inspired together.
