In today’s accountability landscape, ensuring students graduate ready for college, careers, or the military is more important than ever. To support this goal, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) provides two powerful tools within the TEA Login (TEAL) Accountability system: the CCMR Tracker and the CCMR Verifier. While they serve different purposes, both are essential for monitoring progress and ensuring data accuracy related to College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR).
What is the CCMR Tracker?
The CCMR Tracker is designed to help districts monitor student progress toward CCMR indicators throughout high school. It includes students enrolled in grades 9–12 based on the Texas Student Data Systems (TSDS) Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) Fall Submission and allows educators to see how students are progressing toward readiness benchmarks over time.
The Tracker is released in two parts:
CCMR Tracker Part I
The CCMR Tracker Part I is now available and includes:
- CCMR indicators submitted through TSDS PEIMS through the 2024–2025 school year
- Texas Success Initiative Assessment (TSIA) results and OnRamps course completion through the 2024–25 school year
- SAT, ACT, AP, IB, and Level I/II certificate results through the 2023–24 school year
Additionally, the 2026 CCMR Tracker expands its scope by including:
- 2025 annual graduates
- Non-graduating 12th graders from the 2024–25 school year
It’s important to note that while the Tracker includes students from the 2025–26 PEIMS Fall Snapshot, it does not yet include results from the 2025–26 school year, as those data have not been reported.
CCMR Tracker Part II
Part II, coming Summer 2026, will provide updated assessment and certification data through the 2024–25 school year.
Key Features and Considerations of the CCMR Tracker
The CCMR Tracker offers valuable insights, but users should keep the following in mind.
- Lagging Data: The Tracker reflects previously reported data and may not show the most current student achievements.
- Informational Only: districts cannot submit corrections through the Tracker.
- Data Sources Vary: Data may differ slightly depending on whether the student is currently enrolled, a graduate, or a non-graduating senior.
- Pre-High School Indicators: Texas Success Initiative (TSI) is the only indicator that may be earned prior to grade 9.
- Excluded Indicators: Certain graduation-based indicators (e.g., IEP or workforce-readiness outcomes) are excluded.
To fully understand how data is calculated and displayed, districts are encouraged to review the “Interpreting CCMR Tracker Methodology and Sources—Part I” document available within TEAL and on the Performance Reporting Resources webpage.
What Is the CCMR Verifier?
While the CCMR Tracker focuses on monitoring progress, the CCMR Verifier is all about ensuring accuracy.
The CCMR Verifier is a TEAL Accountability application that allows districts to:
- Review CCMR data provided by testing vendors and external organizations
- Verify the accuracy of that data for accountability purposes
- Submit corrections with official documentation during a designated annual window
The data shown in the Verifier applies specifically to:
- Annual graduates
- Non-graduating 12th graders from the previous school year
For example, the 2025 CCMR Verifier reflects data from 2023–24 students, which directly impacts 2025 accountability ratings.
Required Actions for Districts
Dristricts play a critical role in ensuring CCMR data accuracy:
- Review all CCMR outcomes carefully.
- Take no action if the data is correct.
- Submit correction requests if discrepancies are found.
It’s important to understand:
- Data submitted through TSDS PEIMS cannot be corrected through the Verifier.
- Supporting documentation must meet specific requirements outlined in TEA guidance.
- Corrections should be submitted before the verification window closes.
Tracking Verification Requests
The CCMR Verifier also provides transparency throughout the correction process:
- Districts can monitor submissions via the “Status of Requested Changes” link.
- TEA staff reviews each request and supporting documentation.
- Email notifications are sent once decisions are made.
- If a request is rejected due to missing documentation, districts may resubmit within the verification window.
After the window closes, districts can still view final decisions within the system.
Accessing the Tools
Both the CCMR Tracker and Verifier are accessible through the TEA Login (TEAL) system:
- Log in to TEAL.
- Open the Accountability application.
- Navigate to the Performance Reporting or “What’s New” tab.
- Select the CCMR Tracker or CCMR Verifier.
Final Thoughts
Together, the CCMR Tracker and CCMR Verifier provide a comprehensive approach to managing College, Career, and Military Readiness data. The Tracker empowers districts to monitor student progress over time, while the Verifier ensures that the data used for accountability ratings is accurate and complete.
By using both tools effectively, districts can not only meet accountability requirements but also better support students on their path to post-secondary success.
